PRESS Release “Salthouse Next Generation boats purchase Formula Cruisers Icon Moulds”

We are excited to announce the purchase of the Formula Cruisers ICON range of fly bridge cruisers.

Construction of the acclaimed semi custom ICON models will be incorporated into our facility in Auckland with the same attention to detail and quality of build associated with the ICON's. We have been looking for a fly bridge range to add to our stable of 42 - 49 ft Salthouse Corsair sedan cruisers for some time. The ICON's combination of design, build quality and exceptional sea keeping performance are a great addition to our Salthouse Corsair sedan range".

The ICON will be rebranded as the Salthouse ICON.  We will expand the  range to include sedan style cruisers up to 68 ft and they will be built with the same proven methods and quality craftsmanship that has been the hallmark of both brands for many years.

Comments from Troy Woods - Formula Cruisers
"We have been looking at restructuring our operation for some time" and the opportunity of working closely with Dean to further develop the ICON range makes good sense for both companies. I have known Dean for many years and have every confidence in his abilities to produce and further develop the ICON range going forward".

Plans are underway for Formula Cruisers existing agency network in Queensland, NSW and WA, to represent the Salthouse Next Generation Boats sedan range the Salthouse Corsair as well as the ICON series.

Salthouse Next Generation Boats will have on display their latest Salthouse Corsair 49 ft sedan at the upcoming Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

Salthouse Corsair Cabriolet 49

Launching Soon!  "Salty Dog" - Salthouse Corsair Cabriolet 49 for Australian owner

With probably the best summer we have had for many years showing no sign of an end, the beginning of 2013 has been a real hot one! The team at Salthouse Next Generation are on extra hours to complete the latest Salthouse Corsair 49 in time for shipping to Brisbane in March. Aptly named “Salty Dog”, she is the second Salthouse vessel purchased by her owners.  The previous Salthouse 55’ called “Cat Walk” served them well. She is the first Salthouse Corsair 49 for Australia for us, so we are very excited to have our latest and greatest going to Australian waters.

“Salty Dog” has the special addition of dinghy davits above the boarding platform and some very clever features added from years of boating around the East Coast of Australia.

“Salty Dog” not only is a testimony to the incredibly high standard of craftsmanship that is standard for a Salthouse vessel, but really, it again highlights the level of co-operation possible between the Salthouse yard and their clients.

She will be launched early March.
